On the hunt for...

...a really good, moist, chocolate cake recipe.

I tried a new recipe on Monday that came from America's Test Kitchen. Although the flavor was good, and the texture wasn't too crumbly, and it was easy to frost (even if my frosting job below doesn't look too great), it just wasn't moist. The lack of moistness was confirmed when Robby brought me a cupcake from The Frosted Muffin on Tuesday, and it practically melted in my mouth when I took a bite. Delicious! How do they do that???

Please, please, if you know of a homemade recipe that's just the ticket, let me know.

  2. I have the perfect chocolate cake recipe for you. It's from my dad's mother and even my mom's mother now only uses Grandma Conley's chocolate cake recipe. I'll ask my mom to email it to me and I'll email it to you!!! :)

  3. I talked to Will about your hunt to find a super moist cupcake recipe. His solution was, get this: sour cream. Sounds gross but he said he read somewhere that that is the secret to super moist cake! I have no idea what you would substitute it for but I figure with that clue maybe you could find something on the internet and make it your own. Can't wait to try them!
