New York, Day 4 (and Anniversary #5!)

New York, Day 4 included two main parts: Central Park with the girls, and dinner and Times Square with the husband. We slept in a bit, tired from our busy day yesterday, then rented bikes in Central Park and rode around the perimeter...nearly six miles! (That's a lot for us.) We were all tired, but enjoyed it so very much. The weather was warm, but it was great to have so much shade. After riding our bikes around Central Park, we went back to the upper west side to visit Riverside Park again. The girls were excited to see the 91st Street Gardens, the key scene from You've Got Mail. After that, we all headed back home, tired from our bike ride and walk.
Once back at our apartment, and once Robby and I were dressed for our big night, we split up. Carly and Camille were going to go with Chelsea to Brooklyn, and Robby and I headed out to a restaurant called The View, 48 stories up in the air right near Times Square. It was a wonderful evening and dinner. The food was very tasty, but the pinnacle of the night was definitely the views! Amazing! And the greatest part about it all was the floor rotated, so we saw 360 degrees around us.

After dinner, we strolled arm in arm around Times Square and went into all the touristy shops (the M&M shop particulary caught our attention...see Robby hugging the giant orange one below) and were even persuaded to buy me a I Heart NY sweatshirt in teal. ($15...what a deal.)

It was a wonderful evening, so perfect, a fabulous way to celebrate our five years of marriage.

This has been such a wonderful trip, and tonight especially so fantastic, that it could easily end now with joy. How lucky that we still have nearly three days left! Tomorrow's plans...Brooklyn and The Lion King! It just keeps getting better!
