Flowers A-Z: F is for...

The ferns from our string garden are still doing well, which is exciting.  We've never tried to grow ferns before because they typically like more shade than what our sunny backyard can offer them.  There are tons and tons of ferns, and if any giant plant family is my favorite, it is probably this.  It seems every time I see a neat plant I love, it's some type of fern.  The one pictured above is an asparagus fern.

F is also for Fuchsia, a new shade plant that has awesome flowers but isn't blooming yet, so I'm going to wait a couple of weeks to add a picture.  Foxglove also begins with F, but these just look like weeds this year.  Check out Debbie's post to see what they could be looking like, listed under Digitalis.
