Flowers A-Z: P is for...
...Poppy
These are Iceland Poppies, an annual that can last from fall to spring. Poppies love the sun, so these have done the best on a sunny mound in the front yard.
...Pittosporum
We stumbled upon this cool plant one day and have been thrilled with it. This particular one is called Silver Sheen. Its leaves are small and have, as the name says, a sheen to them. We also have a larger-leafed Pittosporum that is smaller and more structured.
...Pansy
Pansies are familiar little annuals, and although they aren't a favorite of mine, I must say I do appreciate their color in the cold of winter. They'll keep blooming through the spring but definitely don't like the heat. Robby took the above picture. He's quite the photographer :)
